Recipe for Step Success!

This is a Step pattern from (pattern 14835)

Greetings everyone!

I wanted to share instead of a pattern, a formula that I use to keep my step class fresh every week without too much effort on you (the instructor) or your class.

I teach 4 to 5 32-count blocks per class. Each week, I add one new block to "the top" and drop one 32-count block off the end. So a good 32-count pattern will last 4 to 5 weeks before it drops off the end. By then, your class knows it well. You teach the new pattern first, when heart rates are just starting to climb. Build on with the other patterns you've already developed, and you've got a whole new class every week.

Sometimes when a whole step class routine works really well and I don't want to change it, I'll change my warmup instead.
