Sonia's ABC's of Step (Routine KK)

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 14873)

Horizontal step. 32 count, tapless, self-reversing combinations. Basic to intermediate level. Right, left designates the lead foot. Footwork explanations at end.

Combo 1

Repeat left

Combo 2

Repeat left

Combo 3

Repeat left

Combo 4

Repeat left.

Combo 5

Repeat left

Footwork:

*Broken repeater:
1,2) step up right, knee lift left
3,4,5) tap the floor 3 times
6) lift the left knee
7,8) exit left and right
Note: try doing the taps in a small backward circle with a little hop on the right each time to release the ankle

**V-slide:
1,2) step up wide right and left
3) cross the right foot behind the left on the floor
4) step left foot down next to the right foot
You should be on the floor off the left corner of the step.

***Slide 'n' jack:
1) on the floor, step wide to the left
2) slide the right foot in
3,4) 1 jumping jack
5) on the floor, step wide to the right
6) slide the left foot in
7,8) 1 jumping jack
Make sure to cue that the mambos are on the left if you use jacks!

****T-step or I-step:
T-step is a low intensity option for the I-step
1,2) up left and right
3,4) march out wide on top left and right
5,6) march back in on top left and right
7,8) exit left and right

I-step:
1,2) up left and right
3,4) jumping jack on the top
5,6) exit left and right
7,8) jumping jack on the floor
Again, make sure to cue that the first abductor is a left lead.
