Michele's Advanced Step

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 14906)

This is the routine done by Michele, one of my favorite instructors, this past Sunday. She gave me permission to submit it to Turnstep. Some of her moves are from videos she has, so may be familiar to some of you. She plans to modify the routine for double vertical steps next week. Moves with * are explained at the end.

Seven 32 count, tapless combos. Advanced level, or intermediate using alternative moves.
Vertical bench. Start on left/west side of bench.

1-3 - up right, left; right to the floor
4-5 - right to the bench behind left, pivot clockwise on the bench to face other direction

11-14 - left to the floor, left knee lift, exit left, right

Up, lunge 2, reverse, exit
1-2 - Side approach up right, left
3-4 - Right lunge to the floor on other side, right back on bench
5 - Left lunge to the floor
6 - Left back to the bench on the other end, turning counterclockwise in a reverse turn.
7-8 - Exit right, left, completing the turn to face the bench
Alternative: Split lunge - up, lunge back 2, exit

Reverse turn into lunge, lunge into reverse turn; exit other side* (8)
This is similar to the move above.
1-2 - Begin right lead reverse turn.
3-4 - Right lunge and up
5 - Left lunge to the floor
6 - Left back to the bench on the other end, turning counterclockwise in a reverse turn.
7-8 - Exit right, left, completing the turn to face the bench on the opposite side.

3-4 - Ball change on the floor left, right, left; or cha-cha floor, board, floor

1-2 - Step up right, kick left
3-4 - cha-cha floor, board, floor
5-8 - right foot straddles, and walk to back of bench in a straddle (or hop back)
