Sonia's Split Lunge X
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15216)
Horizontal step with side approach, tapless, self-reversing, 64 count combination, intermediate level. *Right, *Left designates which foot is to step up (lead).
- Right, 1x Kick, walk back left/right/left, kick right, walk to step right/left (8)
- Right, 1x Up & straddle down near left end of step (4)
- Right, 1x Shuffle turn in place (4)
- Left, Double knee walk back around the end (8)
- Right, Step up right/left in the center of the step (facing east) Lunge right/left, exit home right/left toward the SE corner (8)
- Right, Double knee walk back around the end (8)
- Left, Step up left/right in the center of the step (facing west).
lunge left/right, exit home left/right toward the SW corner (8)
- Left, 1x Rock and Snap, exit right/left to home (5)*
- Right, 1x Stomp (3)
- Left, 2x Traveling hamcurl or 2x hamcurl straddle (8)
Repeat left
Note: the Split Lunge X is the 32 counts beginning with the first double knee walk back.
*Rock 'n' Snap, left lead:
Rock and Snap:
- 1) step on top, left foot towards northeast corner - you need some room behind you on the step.
- 2) rock back onto the right foot on top, the left foot pulls up. The right foot is behind the left foot on the step.
- 3) rock forward onto the left foot, the right foot pulls up.
- 4,5) exit the step right and left turning to the left/southwest corner.
To add the Snaps:
- 1) lift the hands overhead as you step up left
- 2) cross the wrists with a snap of the fingers as you rock back on the right foot
- 3) open the hands with another snap as you rock forward left
- 4,5) lower the hands to sides as you exit
