Going to the Ball - Part One
This is a
Ball pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15052)
I haven't seen any cardio ball classes lately so maybe this will inspire some.
Holding a regular size stability ball in your hands.
Combo 1
- March on the spot (32)
- Push your arms forward out and in from the belly or chest area
- So every march gets a push in and out (32)
- Hint: to make it tougher squeeze hands into ball--pectorals
Combo 2
- March 1,2,3 tap (32)
- Move it forward and back
- Lift arms up overhead on forward march
- Pull them down low and march low to come back (32)
- Hint: squeeze ball and lengthen abs on forward march--lats
Combo 3
- Step touch (32)
- Swing arms side to side in front of you
- Step touch forward (4)
- Step touch stay here and get low like a speed skater (4)
- Step touch back (4)
- Step touch stay here and get low again (4)
- Hint: press hands into ball from the top and the bottom and work your arms side-laterally
Combo 3
- Grapevine (32)
- If going right, press the arms up overhead to the right on the fourth count
- Repeat for the left direction (32)
- Tapping toe to toe, press arms high to the right then to the left (32)
- Alternate grapevines with arms (32)
- Tap toes with arms every time (32)
Combo 4
- Flurry run on the spot (32)
- Little push arms forward double time (32)
Great upper body work out if you remember to cue a lot of squeezing into that ball. You will have to rest arms periodically by just resting the ball on a hip and marching.
Hope you like it!
