Jab-slip basic combo
This is a
BoxAerobics pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15164)
Start facing forward
- Right jab
- Slip to the right (a slip is like a side bend "ducking" away from your opponent's punch!)
- Right jab
- Slip to the right
- Right hook
- Left hook
- Right front kick
- Left back kick (*now after you deliver the left back kick, keep the left leg in the up position at the back and swing the leg (or knee) around to the front so that now you're in a left front knee raise position..which is the set up for the right jump kick that comes next)
- Right jump kick
This is how I cue/say it after I've taught them the whole sequence:
"Jab-slip, jab-slip, hook-hook, kick front, then back, swing-it-around and JUMP!"
Here is the count breakdown:
- Jab slip, jab slip (1,2,3,4)
- Hook, hook (5,6,7,8)
- Front kick (1,2)
- Back Kick (3,4)
- Swing it around (5,6)
- Jump kick (7,8)
Now change to the other side! Hope you understand this...email me any questions! Cheers!
