Kauai Low Impact #2
This is a
Hi/Lo pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15187)
Most of these ideas came from Turnstep but were remixed to fit my style.
- Grapevine right, mambo left (can pivot)
- Double knee repeater right & left (can become a knee in front to make it funky)
- Walk forward left lead, tap out left & right
- Walk back left lead, tap out left & right
Repeat from top left lead. Hold lunges at the end and work them.
- Corner walk right lead and left lead with long arms scissoring
- Step touch move back single, single, double (right, left, right, right)
Repeat with left lead
- Double step right, rocking horse left*
- 2 V-step left lead (or X)
- Rock step** left lead x 4
- Side squat left lead x 4
Repeat to left
Weave the 3 blocks together from the top
* Rocking horse - lean forward to the left and do a ham curl with the right leg then a knee lift on the left
** Rock step - similar to the horse but you do not lift the back leg just tap the toe on the floor - I emphasize the lean back on this one using core muscles.
I do this strictly low impact with fun dance music, hope this is useful to someone out there.
