Lethal Leslie #33

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 15509)

I tried posting this on the moves board, but for some reason they didn't put it on. I had a really great class the day I did this routine. Everyone got everything, my cueing was great, and I didn't screw up once. So I just wanted to post it for everyone. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email me. Enjoy.

Warm Up

10 point mambo (10), 6 count mambo (like weave) (6), crossover lunge (8), 1/2 orbit, hop & tap 1X

10 point mambo - I've explained 5 point mambo below, it's just two of those (10)

6 count mambo - I'm not going to explain the regular 6 count mambo, but I will explain my variation. I'm assuming everyone knows how to do a 6 count mambo. Facing the left corner, right lead, right foot up on the step & left lifts (1), left foot to the floor on the north side of the step still facing the left wall (2), right foot to the floor beside the left foot (3), left foot up on the step & right foot lifts (4), right foot to the floor on the south side of the step (5), left foot to the floor beside the right foot (6)

Cross over lunge - is just 2 side lunges & exiting to the front of the room.

Hop & tap - is just an option for a knee, abduct, ham, glute, kick etc-. You hop up on the step with one leg, bring the other leg up and tap the foot.

Combo 1

Boomerang - it's two side lunges and after the second one you do a full reverse turn. Facing the left corner, up on top right left (1,2), right foot taps the floor (3), bring right foot back on top (4), left foot taps the floor (5), left foot comes back up but at the right corner so you are starting the full reverse turn (6), exit down right left while turning to face the left corner again (7,8)

Scoot across (8) - option is to just do a weave/scissor over whatever you want to call it. Facing the right corner, left foot taps the step (1), left foot goes to the floor on the north side of the step (2), right foot follows but it goes behind the left foot for a rock back & the left foot lifts (3), left foot back down & right foot lifts (4), repeat with the right lead to get back (4)

2 stomps & march (8) - stomp the step 2 times at the right corner & march on the spot (8). Now, one stomp on the step one stomp on the floor in front of the step & march back. Next you can add some pivot turns in there. You would pivot on counts 3 & 7. Also bring both arms up in the air on counts 3 & 7. (Thanks to John Shehan for this)

Combo 2

Rock on top stomp knee exit (8) - Facing the left corner, right lead, right foot on top (1), left foot on top behind the right foot and right foot lifts (the rock, 2), right foot back down & left foot lifts (3), left foot stomps the floor on the south side & right foot lifts (4), right foot back on the step (5), left knee lift (6), exit left right (7,8)

More advanced:

Rhythm on top etc (8) - facing the left corner, right lead, right foot on top (1), left foot on top behind the right foot (no rock, 2), now switch the feet on count 3, left foot is in front and right foot is behind the left foot (& 3), right foot stomps the floor on the north side & left foot lifts (4), left foot back up & box step around the end to get home for the last 4 counts

Abduct tic toc (12) - after the first abduct tic toc you can exit off the front of the step and then you step back up and do the second abduct tic toc and exit home. This is always the last option. I always start off with an abduct repeat 2, then abduct tic toc, then I give them the option to exit off the front and exit back

Weave & mambo (6) - Facing the right wall, left foot leads. Left foot to the step (1), hop on the left foot while bringing the right leg behind the left leg, while turning slightly to face the back (2), exit right towards back of room (3), left foot to floor (mambo) and right foot lifts (4), right foot back in place and left foot lifts slightly turning to face the front (5), left foot on the floor on the left side of the step and right foot is up (6)

Chasse turn & one stomp (6) - right leads facing the right wall, right foot up on the step (1), left foot up on the step and right foot lifts off (&), right foot to the floor on south side of the step starting to face the front (2), left foot to the floor at the left end of the step (3), right foot to the left corner & left foot lifts slightly (4), left foot back down in the same spot & right foot lifts (5), right foot to the floor close to the right corner & left lifts ready for the next thing (6).

Combo 3

Tic toc on top 2 stomp, step up & box home (8) - right lead, right foot on top & left leg lifts to the side (1), left foot to the step & right leg lifts side (2), right foot stomps the floor in front of the step & left foot lifts slightly (3), left foot back up on the step in the same spot & right foot lifts (4), right foot on top of the step towards the right end of the step & left foot lifts slightly (5), left foot crosses over the right foot and goes to the floor at the right end of the step (box step part) (6), exit back right left (7,8).

Repeat in out box cha cha cha (8) - right foot up at left end of step (1), left knee lift (2), left foot taps the floor at the left end of the step (3), left foot taps the floor a little further from the step (4), right foot comes off the step and crosses over the left foot (5), left foot steps back a little on the floor (6), cha cha cha towards the right corner (7&8).

Combo 4

L-step tic box cha cha cha (8) - right foot on top at left corner (1), left knee (2), left foot taps the floor at the left end of the step (3), left foot on top of the step & right leg swings out to the side at the same time (4), right foot crosses over the left foot and lands on the floor (box step) (5), left foot to the floor behind the right foot (6), cha cha cha towards the right corner (7&8).

Pause & chasse turn - just an option for the orbit. I've already explained the chasse turn above, so all you do is add a little pause at the beginning of it. So you would pause for counts 1,2 and then the chasse turn is for counts &,3,4. Hope that explains it.

Combo 5

L-step variation - right leads at left corner, right foot up on top at left corner (1), left knee up (2), step down left foot at left end (3), right foot to the floor in front of the left foot (mambo/stomp) & left foot lifts slightly (4), march back and around to the right corner, can spin the march 5,6,7,8.

5 point mambo (5) - left leads at right corner, left foot up at right corner & right foot lifts (1), right foot to the floor at the end of the step & left foot lifts (2), left foot back on top of the step & right foot lifts (3), exit back right left (4,5).

Rebound back & stomp (10) - right lead at left corner, I start with a repeater 3, step down on count 7 & right foot lifts at same time, stomp the step & left foot lifts slightly (8), exit down left right (9,10). Now for the rebound part: right foot on the step (1), left knee (2), left foot to the floor (3), right knee up moving back slightly (4), right foot to the floor on the spot (5), left knee up (6), left foot to the floor moving forward (7), right foot stomps the step-etc counts 8,9,10 as above.
