TV PLYOROBICS
This is a
[Other] pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15457)
- Turn your favorite TV show on.
- Back up a little so you have some room.
- Use masking tape to form an 18-inch square on your rug or other floor surface. If you don't wish to put the tape on your floor, try to imagine that size shape.
- Stand in the middle of your "square." Step the right foot to the right side line and tap the left foot next to it. Then step the left foot to the left side line and tap the right foot next to it. Repeat again. (8)
- Do this same pattern except push off the left foot, propeling your right foot to the right side line. The left foot lands slightly after the right. Now push off the right foot and propel your left foot to the left side line. The right foot lands slightly after. Repeat a second time. (8)
- To make this more difficult...for the first set of 8 counts...do it with a light run instead of side-tapping. Another way is to alter the second part. Make these moves either higher, feet further apart, change direction or do them faster (double-timing them) or you can increase the number of repetitions.
- Always keep the easy section easy because that is an integral part of these types of movements - short recovery + short attack. You can get both aerobic and anaerobic benefits from doing it this way.
- No music required. Keep repeating this move for as long as you want. It's best to know the other 4 Plyorobic moves. Then an unending supply of choreography can be done...even more than step gave us. You will then have enough exercises to be able to last for your entire TV show.
