Lo Impact Cardio Box
This is a
BoxAerobics pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15439)
Thursday's are low impact day for my boxing class. Each combo is 64 count.
Combo 1:
- Jab right, Jack center, jab left, jack center (32)
- Grapevine right, lunge right & left; grapevine left, lunge left & right (16)
- V-step with punch (jab forward on out-out, down on in-in) 2x right lead, 2x left lead (16)
Combo 2:
- Alternating front knee lifts with overhead pulldown (16)
- -note: cue to crunch abdominals on pulldown, just like a crunch on floor
- 8 Right side knee lifts with pulldown, repeat on left (16)
- -note: cue to crunch obliques
- 8 Front kicks moving forward (16)
- 8 Knee lifts moving backward (16)
Combo 3:
- Hook right & left (4)
- Cross right & left (4)
- 4 Knee strikes right (8)
- 4 Upper cuts, 4 upper body twists; repeat 2X (16)
- Repeat with left lead (32)
Combo 4:
- Shuffle right (8)
- Bob and weave (8)
- Squat with alternating knee lift (8)
- Squat with alternating front kick (8)
- Repeat other side (32)
Build up the first 2 combos, then put them together. After a water break, build the 2nd two combos and put the whole thing together once or twice for a 45 minute class. After that it's cool down and work abs.
