Hi-lo oldie but goodie 32 (64)
This is a
Hi/Lo pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15792)
This is a fun one: (obviously you'll need to break it down but here's the final)
Traveling forward:
- Step right, kick left to left side (1,2)
- Step left, kick right to right side (3,4)
- Step right, kick left to left side (5,6)
- Step left, kick right to right side (7,8)
- Pony back 3X--right/left/right,left/right/left, right/left/right (1&2, 3&4, 5&6)
- March twice left-right (7&8)
- Cross -front grapevine (AKA Ethnic Grapevine):
- After the march-march left-right (Cross front grapevine: cross left over right (1), right steps side (2), left cross behind (3), right to side (4), left crosses in front of right (5), right steps side (6), left behind (7), right to side once more (8) all travelling RIGHT.)
- Then shift weight: hips right-left-right-left Doubles. I say: side-to side low (1-2 to the right,-3-4 to the left, punching arms DOWN each side...) then Singles, arms up, twist the hips side to side (5-6-7-8)...
- Start back to the step-kick_from the top, but step left, kick right and repeat it all going the opposite way.
I also like to double-time the cross-front "ethnic" grapevine---that's always good for a laugh!!
--I say "ethnic", as it's the type of grapevine which is used in many dances like bellydance, folk dances, etc--
