Basic Bosu

This is a [Other] pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 15805)

This is a very basic bosu routine to help get started, especially for the members!!! :) I use 125bpm, no more for my class.

                 Front
Left Side ( ) Right Side
                 Back

Combo 1 (Starting at the back of the bosu)

Repeat on left lead

Combo 2

Repeat on left lead

Combo 3

Combo 4

Repeat on left lead

Combo 5

Repeat on left lead

Combo 6

Repeat on left lead

* It is a V-step on the floor. Step the right leg out to the right side of the bosu, then the left leg out to the left side of the bosu, then the right leg back to the start and the left leg back to the start.

** Step right, side kick left, step left down to back of bosu then step right down to back of bosu, step right, side kick left, step right leg down on the right side of the bosu to turn then step left down to right side of bosu. Repeat this till you return to the starting position. I give the option of holding alternating side kicks on the bosu for those who tend to get dizzy or are uncomfortable going around the bosu.

*** Step the right leg to the right side of the bosu and touch the left leg in while pivoting 180 on the right foot so that your back is to the bosu. Then step to the front of the bosu with your left leg and touch the right leg in while pivoting 180 on the left foot so you are facing the bosu. Then step the right leg to the left side of the bosu and touch the left leg in while pivoting 180 on the right foot so your back is to the bosu again. Then step the left leg to the back of the bosu and touch your right leg in while pivoting 180 on the left foot so that you are facing the bosu again. This is a very fluid movement once you get it down. I find it easier to do ham curls around, but the option of step touches is important for those who need to keep it low. I also give the option of step touches in place or ham curls. (some people get dizzy easy)

**** This I-step must flow into the end of the step touch around so needs to be cued just right. The I-step is like this: step up from the back Right then Left, then either 2 hops on the bosu or march right left on the bosu, then step down right left to the back of the bosu

This last move will require another quick cue to step touch around the bosu to the left

Good Luck!!! Once you get it, it is a piece of pie!!!
