Swinging spring stepping!
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15819)
This has got something for the newbies and something for the intermediate/advanced. I like it! Right lead unless otherwise stated. "Right" and "Left" wall is the directions when you are standing with your back towards the class.
1)
- Basic right (4)
- Step touch on step right lead, on left side of step (4)
- Basic left (4)
- Step touch on left (4)
- Walk on step (2), out on right/left (2), in on right/left (2), down on right left (2), move those hips! (Total 8)
- 1 Knee raise right, then left (8)
2)
- Turnstep right, left (start with right lead, but going left obviously, then back again with left lead, going right) (8)
- Step touch, facing left wall, on step (4)
- Over the top (4)
- Step touch, left lead, still facing left wall (4)
- Over the top again (4)
- V-step on step (4)
- V-step backwards, on floor. Between the 2 V-steps I add a 360 turn for those who want to, it's cool!
3)
- Mambo right, left, chachacha (OK: Mambo right on step on 1/left on floor on 2/right on floor on 3) repeat on left on 45, turn 360 on 678) (8)
- Heel flick on step right/left (2 x basic, but instead of putting your foot down on the step on 2 and 6, kick your heel forwards instead) (8)
- Side kick right lead, on left side of step (4)
- Side kick left lead, on right side of step (4)
- Basic (2)
- 2 Jumping jacks on step (4)
- Step down (2)
4)
- Triple knee risers (8)
- Simple knee risers x 2 or leg curl x 2 (8)
- Leg curl around the step, first facing left wall, turn to right wall on the second and forth (16)
