2006 Kansas City Step from Carole
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 16029)
Thought I'd contribute...it's been awhile. This is 64 counts, no taps, and you will automatically be ready to repeat it on your left lead when finished. I consider this to be of an Intermediate level..This time I will write the counts and lead leg after the moves...if the move needs a description, I will put it in parenthesis directly below it.
- Stomp straddle/ stomp exit front (6,right left)
- Repeater scissor & slide (10,right)
For this move, you begin like a regular 3-knee repeater. On count 6, you swing the left leg behind the right. Count 7 you step down on the home side with left. Count 8, you step out wide to the side with right. Count 9, step in place with left, then on count 10, step slightly across left with right towards bench.
- Shuffle straddle/ box & shuffle home (8,left)
For this move, shuffle down the front edge of bench towards right wall. Straddle down at the very end on counts 3,4. On counts 5-8, cross right foot over left, step out to side with left as you turn slightly counter clockwise towards bench, then shuffle to front of bench. You will end up on front side facing left or West wall, ready to lead left.
- Reverse hop turn into a box step on floor (8,left)
For this move, begin a reverse hop turn, then on counts 5-8, go into your box step on the floor on the front side. You will be stepping down home on count 5, crossing over on count 6, stepping out to side slightly on count 7, and stepping towards bench on count 8.
- 2 Regular mambos (8,left left)
- 1 Mambo on bench/ 1 mambo backing up on floor (8,left left)
- 2 Alternating ham curls (8,left right)
- Split basic (8,left)
This move is simply a step up up left right, 2 alternating rear lunges, then an exit home left and right.
Sincerely,
Carole
