Tapless Easy-Intermediate Combo
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 16220)
Final Product - as I cue it in class
- Reverse tap-knee up, exit back, stomp straddle 2x, reverse off the end
- Rock up and back, turn in, knee up - weave over, take it around the bench
Explanations with counts and suggestion to build:
Part 1
- 2-Knee repeat (counts 1-6)
- Stomp 2x (7-4)
- 1 Basic (5-8)
Change to:
- Reverse tap-knee up (1-6)
- Stomp 2x - you will be facing the back of the room (7-4)
- 1 Basic
Reverse tap-knee up - same count as a 2-knee repeat. Step up right, left turning to face the back of the room (1-2), right foot taps down off the end of the bench (3), right knee lift (4), exit off the front of the bench (5-6).
Option: Stomp, reverse straddle, stomp reverse straddle
Change to:
- Reverse tap-knee up (1-6)
- Stomp-straddle 2x (7-4)
- Up and exit back (5-8)
From straddle, step up right, left and exit behind the bench so you are facing the front of the room
Change to:
- Reverse tap-knee up (1-6)
- Stomp-straddle 2x (7-4)
- Reverse off the end (5-8)
From straddle, step up right, left and reverse out so you exit off the end of the bench
Part 2
- Rock up and back (1-4)
- Turn in (5-6)
- 2-Knee repeat
- 1 Knee
Rock up and back - after you reverse off the end of the bench, turn to face the back of the room. Right foot rocks/mambos forward (1) and then back (3).
Turn in - a quick turn in to be behind the bench, facing the front of the room. Step right (5) turning in and stepping left (6)
Change to:
- Rock up and back (1-4)
- Turn in (5-6)
- Knee-and-weave (7-4)
- 1 Knee facing the back of the room (5-8)
Knee-and-weave - same count as a 2-knee repeat. The second knee is replaced with a weave so you exit off the front of the bench.
Change to:
- Rock up and back (1-4)
- Turn in (5-6)
- Knee-and-weave (7-4)
- Walk around the bench leading with your left (5-8)
Options: over-the-top, box-step over, 2 spins around the bench, etc.
