Hello, All!
I have noticed that there has been some discussion on the boards about gliding patterns and ideas, but not much is posted. Below is a combination of what I have borrowed from this site, and what I have gleamed from trainings and other instructors' classes.
Warm Up
Accustomed to the Discs
- Step touches- singles/doubles, slow/fast
- Step touch and squats
Dismount
- Hamstring curls- singles/doubles
- Easy stretch standing
Cardio
Single Moves
- Step touches
- Jumping jacks- slow/fast, singles/doubles
- Cross country
- Slide of single legs- side, diagonal, back
- Inner thigh jumping jacks
Combos
- 4 Step touches, 8 jacks moves right and left: cut down
- 4 Step touches FORWARD, 2 slow and 4 fast squats, repeat back
- 2 Double jacks, 4 single jacks, 2 double cross country, 4 single cross country
Intervals
- Step Touch to a wall, dismount and do volleyball blocks, 2X each direction
- Step touches into leaps (NOT on discs)
- Heel digs slow and quick (NOT on discs)
Muscle
Upper Body
- Single arms slide front, diagonal, and side
- Both arms push side out, pull side in
- Slides under feet, DRAG yourself across floor
Lower Body
- Pike and Tuck work with the BOSU
- Legs wide and in
- Hamstring with heel on the glide, push out in front
- Mountain climbers
Abs On BOSU
