Sonia's K.I.S.S. #2

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 15683)

K.I.S.S. = Keep It Simple & Sweaty. The footwork is not complicated, but there are five explanations just in case I have used terms that might differ from yours. The options after the counts are for low impact. Combos are 32 count, tapless, and self-reversing on a horizontal step. Email any questions or comments.

Footwork (all described with right lead):

* Squat turn:
1,2) squat with right side to step,
3,4) as you lift from the squat propel yourself into the air turning to face the opposite direction landing on the floor.
Repeat with the left foot on the step and turning back to start.

** BIG Turnstep:
1,2) step up as for a turnstep but instead of keeping the heels near the back edge place the foot into the step a little more and start a turnstep,
3,4) exit off the end of the step right and left with no tap.
Note: placing the feet a little farther on top of the step makes the move off the end more comfortable.

*** Diagonal scoop:
Similar to what you would do on the floor in Hi/Low just do it diagonally on the step:
1,2) step up right, hop on the right as the left ham curls a little,
3,4) left steps forward on the diagonal, hop left, curl right,
PS - the exit is with no tap!
If you don't want any impact just do 2 hamcurls moving on the diagonal, exit right/left at NW corner.

**** Power straddle
1,2) hop hop to the top on the right foot, left pulls to a knee lift,
3,4) straddle down left and right,
5,6) hop hop to the top on the left foot, right pulls to a knee lift,
7,8) straddle down right and left.

***** Shuffle stroll
1&2) triple step (aka cha cha cha or shuffle) forward right/left/right on the long side of the step,
3,4) walk forward on the floor - take big steps - left and right,
5,6) pivot 180 degrees leading left and turning clockwise,
7,8) big walks to the step left and right.
