Suspension moves
This is an
Aquatic pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15695)
I have taken so many ideas from this website, thought I would add one of my own.
I normally give options on these moves for clients who cannot swim or do not like these particular moves.
- Option 1: To jack forward using breastroke arms.
- Option 2: Cross legs (as if you were sitting on the floor) and breastroke arms forward. Advise to pull in abs tight and to keep breathing. (suspended)
- Option 3: Open legs, so toes are just sticking out of the water (V shape). Breastroke arms forward
You can also have your class perform stationary cross country ski and jacks. Option 2 would be to tell them to take their feet off the floor, shoulders under and ski or jacks suspended. (Pull abs in tight, don't hold their breath)
