Sensational Step
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15584)
Here's a great pattern for intermediate or advanced steppers. Remember, you have to break it down to the best of your own ability and skill level. Also, the pattern is self-reversing and can be easily adapted for double or quad step. Good luck!
All cues are given with whichever foot is to move FIRST.
Begin with a horizontal step.
Counts:
- 1-8 Corner kicks (begining with the right foot on the left side of your bench)
- 9-16 Repeater knees or your favorite repeater combo
Now you should be starting with your left foot moving first
- 1-4 Come up on top of the step and straddle down with your left foot first
- 5-6 Pick up your left foot and place it behind the right foot and do a reverse mambo
- 7-8 Pivot turn on the floor beginning with steping in front of the right foot and turning clockwise
Now you should be facing the opposite direction ready to place your LEFT foot on the step
- 9-12 Step up on the step as if you are going to go over the step and weave the right leg behind you and step onto the floor in front of the step
- 13-16 Step up on the step with the RIGHT foot the same way and weave the LEFT foot behind you and step onto the floor behind the step
On count 16 switch sides
Left foot should be ready to step first
- 1-8 A-step 2 times (revolving)- facing the right side of the bench, step forward on the bench with the LEFT foot followed by the right then off the front of the bench at a diagonal, turn to the back of the room and repeat the stepping again beginning with the same foot. When you are done, you should be behind the bench
- 9-16 Turnstep 2 times
- 1 Step over the bench with the LEFT foot
- 2 Bring right foot behind the left and rock forward
- 3 Stay in place and tap the LEFT toe on the floor where it already is
- 4 Step forward with the right foot facing away from the front of the bench
- 5 Bring LEFT foot behind the right and rock
- 6 Stay in place and tap the RIGHT toe on the floor where it already is
- 7-8 Spin to the left
You should still be in front of the bench at this point
- 1-4 With the LEFT foot up and over the bench to the back of it
- 5-8 Corner knee stepping with the LEFT foot and travel to the other side of the bench
Now your RIGHT foot should want to lead the pattern
