Hi/Lo fun
This is a
Hi/Lo pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15593)
These are a few Hi/Lo moves, especially for Petrina who asked for more Hi/lo submissions. Just a few 16 & 8 count moves to spark some creativity.
- Chasse right and left (8 counts)
- Double hamstring curl, lift left leg up & behind to face left corner (4 count) & left mambo (or pivot) (4 count)
- Walk & stomp behind: (16 counts total)
- Walk to the left 5 counts-left,right,left,right,left
- Stomp right foot behind left (count 6), march left, right (count7,8)
- Stomp left foot behind right (count9), march right (count10)
- Step touch 1x (2 counts) & finish with a grapevine right (4 count)
32 count combo:
- Grapevine right, 3 alternating knee lifts (8 counts)
Option: turn toward right on 3 knees all the way back to front
- Lunge left, right, left (counts 1-5) & jog left,right,left (counts6,7,8)
- RIVERDANCE: With hands on hips, stomp right foot (1) across front of left foot as you lift left foot-jog left (2), right (3)-and stomp left foot (4) across front of right foot-jog right (5), left (6) exagerate the knee and heel lifts as you jog and cross over. 1 jumping jack (2 counts) (total 8 counts)
- Finish the Riverdance with a pony left (2 counts) (right arm up and left down to side) & pony right (2 counts) (left arm up and right arm down to side) 2 sets (8 counts)
- It's really just a 6 count jog and 1 jumping jack but adding the exagerated movement, hands on hips and Irish flare it becomes so much more.
Thanks to everyone who submits to Turnstep as I have been inspired many, many times over the last few years in every format I teach by taking a visit to Turnstep for some creative juices.
