I got some ideas from this site, let my mind wander, and came up with this routine. My classes have really enjoyed it!
Combo 1 - 64 counts
- Basic right x2
- 2 Alternating knee lifts (step up with right foot, lift left knee, step down with left foot, then step down with right foot. Next one is left foot up, right knee lift, right foot off bench, left off bench).
- Repeater knee x2 (first on right foot, next left foot)
- Knees corner - back - corner - walk around bench (aka walk away Joe)
- A-step x3
- Turnstep
Repeat other lead
Combo 2 - 64 counts
- L-step first to one end, then the other
- Charleston - over the top
- Charleston - 1/2 hop turn
- Charleston - over the top
- Charleston - 1/2 hop turn
- L-step one end, then the other
Combo 3 - 32 counts
- 2 Turnsteps then shuffle turn + tap up & down on end - 16 counts
- Repeater (8)
Repeat other lead
Combo 4 - 32 counts
- Stomp over and back (8 counts)
- 1/2 Hop turn (4 counts)
- Stomp over and back (8 counts)
- 1/2 Hop turn (4 counts)
- Turnstep (4 counts)
Repeat other lead
Combo 5 - 32 counts
- Broadway (mambo cha-cha on bench & to back) (8 counts)
- Revolving door (8 counts)
- 3 Knee repeater (8 counts)
- 2 Alternating kicks (8 counts)
