Coreboard Drills

Somebody recently asked for Coreboard Class Ideas. Since I teach Coreboard classes three times a week, I've had to come up with patterns to keep my classes on their toes. Here are a few:

1. Starting on top of board:

*I start with 2 counts for each move, then speed it up to single counts. Repeat with left lead

2. Starting on top of board with medicine ball at chest:

Start with 2 counts each tap, cueing to aim for a bend in the left knee with every tap. Speed it up to single counts, no center tap (just tap front, back, front-) Then..

Again, start slow and add fast intervals

Repeat with left lead

3. Starting on top of board

Motion should be smooth and continuous.

Repeat with left leg (sweep is counter-clockwise)

These are good core stabilization moves as well good work outs for legs and obliques and they get your heartrate up. I have many more and will post at a later time. These moves will also translate to the BOSU.
