Summer Double
This is a
Double Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.

Steps are set up horizontal your away step will be the step to the right

You will need two strides length between each step
I will write out the short hand first and then follow with a longer break down
Combo 1
- Split basic (8)
- Mambo cha, cha to away bench pivot (8)
- Repeater straddle (8)
- Double ham repeater, walk around the bench (8)
Repeat on away bench
Combo 2
- Halfway around the world, face the back (8)
- Up jack down jack (8)
- Grapevine to away bench (4)
- 2 Jacks on floor (4)
- 1/2 Revolving door right lead (4)
- Left knee travel (4)
Repeat on away bench with left lead
Combo 3
- Stomp, shuffle around bench to front (8)
- Up lunge 2x left lead, exit face the right (8)
- (you are now on back side)
- 1/2 L-step, squat, swing, swing, exit (8)
- Reverse turn walk to away bench (8)
Repeat left lead on away bench
Combo 4
- Turnstep 2x (8)
- Turn straddle, exit the short end (8)
- Walk across bench (4)
- Step right on away bench, left knee straddle (4)
- Right knee repeat (8)
Repeat left lead on away bench
Combo 1
- Up right, left, lunge right/left, exit (split basic) (8)
- Mambo with your right foot to the left of your home step (2)
- Cha, cha to the away bench (2)
- Step out with your left foot and pivot 2x (4)
- (you will be at your away bench facing the east, ready to use your left foot as a lead)
- Repeater right knee straddle (8)
- Double left ham curl walk around the back of the step (8)
- Walking around the back of the bench you step down with your left finishing the double ham curl. So the walk around is 5,6,7,8 begining the walk with your left foot.
You will now repeat the same combo with the left lead, so you will start the split basic with the left lead facing the front of the room, and then mambo to the right with the left lead, and continue from there. You should finish this at the home bench.
Combo 2
- Halfway around the world (left knee straddle, right knee travel) (8)
- Instead of traveling so you face the left, travel so you are now facing the back of the room. You are on the front side of the step.
- Step up right, left, one jack on top (4)
- Step down right, left one jack on the floor (4)
- Grapevine to your left, two jacks on the floor (8)
- You are now at the away bench still facing the back of the room
- Right lead 1/2 of a revolving door (4) your just walking up onto the bench and turn to face the front of the room. You are still on the away bench but now you are back behind it.
- Right lead travel left knee (4)
You are now ready to start the combo on the away bench with the left lead
Combo 3
- Stomp, shuffle around the bench (8)
- The stomp is with the right foot 1,2 the shuffle is 3-8. You will be on the front side of the bench with a left lead.
- Up left, right, lunge 2x exit to the left, but travel the exit to face the right (8)
- 1/2 L-step squat, swing, swing exit (8)
- 1/2 L-step squat 1-4 you have to hold the squat for 3,4. Push up into the pendulum swing right foor is onthe bench for 5, left is on for 6 and exit right, left for 7,8.
- Reverse turn (4) your are now facing the right wall
- Walk up toward the away bench (4)
Repeat the combo on the away bench with a left lead
Combo 4
- Turnstep 2x (8)
- Turn straddle, exit the short end (8)
- Walk acorss the bench toward the right wall (4)
- Step on the away bench with right foot, lift left knee and straddle (4) the count is step right on 5, lift left knee on 6, straddle 7,8
- Right knee repeater (8)
Now repeat combo on left lead at away bench.
It is actually more difficult to write it out then it is to teach and do! Let me know how it goes!
