Lin's Little Jig LOW IMPACT
This is a
Hi/Lo pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15903)
The jig itself that I made up is this (simple, but fun at a faster pace, about 140 bpm):
- Right knee
- Left tap
- Right knee
- Left kick (front)
Then repeat on the opposite side!
The little bit I made to introduce this move to the class and break it down for the first segment is:
- Step side-side taps behind (like half-grape)
- Grapevine right, with alternating taps traveling forward
- Grapevine left, alternating taps travel backward
- Grapevine right, kicks to front
- 3 Squats, kick front (repeat and alternate)
- Squat, knee, squat knee (alternating)
- Single knees, travel around room
- March in place, hamstring curls
- Left lead:
- Two knees
- Two taps (right)
- Two knees
- Two kicks (right), repeat until comfortable
Then do Little Jig
Repeat two knees, right lead
Then do Little Jig on opposite side
This is my first time writing on this site, but I must thank everyone because it is incredibly helpful to me! I hope this is not too confusing--let me know if it's helpful to anyone else teaching low impact = )
