L is for Laura-Double Step
This is a
Double Step pattern from

Put two benches into an L shape. The horizontal bench is Home the vertical is Away. Here are two 64-count combos.

Combo 1
- Home - Knee, double kick, swing over* - 14 counts.
- Away - 6 Count mambo (pump at each corner), back over** - 10 counts.
- Away & Home - rocking horse X 2 (one Away, one Home) - 8 counts.
- Home - Walkaway Joe*** (going toward the right corner of the room), knee corner to corner - 16 counts.
- Home & Away - V in the corner (left foot on Home, right on Away -4 counts.
- Away - Abduct straddle, abduct, basic left - 12 counts.
Repeat on left lead
Combo 2
- Home - Box shuffle (6 counts), stomp, straddle, stomp, (6 counts) (you are facing the back now, step up right/left and turn so you are facing front,lunge X 3, (left,right,left) exit home (10 counts), right lead walk or shuffle (4 counts) to Away
- Away - (right lead) Double knee (6 counts), double stomp, walk to small end of Away (8 counts), step up & straddle (4 counts), L mambo (turn your body so you are facing the short end of your home bench), 4 counts, split lunge**** at Home (8 counts)
- Home - Back inside (4 counts),
- Away - Back over (4 counts)
Repeat on left lead
* Sometimes it's called a weave on this site. Step up on bench right (1), left leg swings behind right (2), step down on floor left, right (3,4)
** Step up left (1), turning the body, step up right (1), back off left, right (3,4)...essentially it's a basic but turn it around so you end up facing the opposite direction on the other side of the bench
*** (diagonal over) step on top (1,2), step left and right on the floor (3,4), pivot on the left foot (5,6), take two steps to get back to the bench (7,8), facing the back of the room
**** Step up left, right (1,2), lunge back left leg, right leg, (3-6), back off (7,8)
