Bootcamp Cardio

It is challenging to think of different bootcamp cardio routines that are both difficult and fun. Hopefully you will find this one to be both!

I have my participants line up around the volleyball court (if in a gym, or otherwise just on the perimeter of the room) giving themselves some room to move. We shuffle to the right or left for 8 counts (everything is done in 8s) I shout out the directions, count down from 8, and then shout out the "command" action such as jacks, cross country skiing, push ups, tricep dips, squats, lunges, jump rope, high knees, butt kicks, etc.! We do that action for 8 counts, then back to shuffling for 8 counts. So it goes shuffle-8 action-8, shuffle-8, and so on. Rotate the action commands and alternate the directions of the shuffling. Be sure they are covering the ground and getting low on the shuffles.

I usually do this for about 5 minutes, alternate to something else such as stations or sprints, and then come back 1 or 2 more times. It really gets them sweating and they love you for it! :)
