Even though this originally started out as Kid's exercise, I use it with my adult classes. I print different photos of animals (rabbit, frog, gazelle, cat, dog, bird - any you can find) in color on 8 x 10 paper. Then I post the photos around the room. I have each student stand in front of their animal station and for 1 minute - they had to act like the animal, i.e., hop, slither, run, etc. After 1 minute they all meet in the middle of the room and you can do another group exercise there (like pass the medicine ball relay, jumping jacks, a step combination on the floor, etc), then they move to the next station and do a 1 minute animal exercise. It is fun - and even my adult classes love it - after they get over the initial shock. If you need more ideas for your "Center of the Room" circuit, then email me.
Enjoy!!!
