Kauai Low Impact Early Spring '06
This is a
Hi/Lo pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15860)
A lot was borrowed from here but remixed, there are a lot of similar moves in here which can sometimes be confusing, at least to me when in one class, but once the direction is added it all worked out just fine.
- Ham curl right/left
- Grapevine right
- Box step left over right x 2 (can start as a mambo)
- Walk forward 4 left lead
- Lunge side left/right
- Walk back 4 left lead
- Lunge side left/right
Repeat other lead
- Half mambo right lead, front, side, back, side (each is 2 counts)*
- Step on right knee lift left, right, left, left (can do a knee over)
Repeat other side
*(I introduce as full mambos and hang out on each lead for a while before breaking down)
- Step touch right, left, right, right
- Dig left, right, left, left (moves forward)
- Grapevine right (rear corner of room) & left (rear corner of room)
- Then double grapevine right straight across
- (I introduce without direction)
Do other lead
- Grapevine right, left, right (with curl at end - becomes grapevine left - face side on second one then front on third)
- Mambo front left lead (can become full pivot)
- Ham curl left lead - step left, right, left, right (can become boomerang, face inside then back to front)
- 2 V-steps left lead
Repeat other side
- Right lead double scoop (forward)
- 8 Count zig zag walk back at diagonal right lead, goes right, left lead goes back left
- Lunge 4 - left, right, left, right
- Chasse left and right
- Repeat
Weaves together very nicely.
Keep the interesting floor choreography coming - PLEASE. Hope this is helpful to someone out there, Petrina
