Something Fun
This is a
Hi/Lo pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 15871)
My class has really liked these patterns. Some come from adaptations of an SCW Conference, adaptations from the wonderful people that post here, and others straight from ingenious me:) I usually throw in something that is fairly uncomplicated that will get their heart really going in between. I put what I do for each combo just to give you additional ideas. Thank you everyone for all of your posts.
Combo 1
- Mambo right 2x (1-8)
- Mambo cha, cha, cha to the back right lead (9-12)
- Pivot on the left foot to face front (13-14)
- Walk forward left,right (15-16)
- Step hamstring curl alternate 4x (17-24)
- Hula girl* (24-32)
Repeat on the left lead
* Hula girl: hip goes out and both arms go with it to the left and then the right alternating as many times as the counts allow. In this case it is 4x each side for a total of 8. Everyone loves this because they just really jam and get into it.

- Level 1: alternating back lunges
- Level 2: scissors
- Level 3: scissors with arms
Combo 2
- Hustle up and back right lead* (1-8)
- In,in,out, out (higher levels can do jumping jacks) (9-12)

- Clap 2x (15-16)
- Alternate lunges left, right 4x (17-24)
- Step hamstring curls alternate left, right 4x (25-32)
Repeat on the left lead
* Hustle up and back is just 3 marches up and a tap touch, knee or kick and doing the same back.
** Step out roll: take a step out and roll the hips slowly starting from the direction you started out on and ending on the opposite side for a lead change.

- Level 2: double curls with arms
- Level 3: step lunge backs
