Then, I added a shuffle to the left after the left elbow strike, and then shuffle back--2 sets. Then, after a few reps, add an uppercut to the shuffle, and so the whole 32 counts look like this:
Punch-punch-block-block + cross strike right + back elbow right + punch-punch-block-block + cross strike right + front elbow left + shuffle left 3 counts, uppercut right on 4, and head back with a shuffle right 3 counts, uppercut left on 8, repeat the shuffle series for a total of 32 counts and go right back in to punch-punch-block-block, etc.
If you have a more advanced class, you can change the second set of uppercuts with the shuffle to forward blocks or side blocks, or a palm press--whatever you wish to change it up. Another option is to wait until you alternate the combination, starting with a left punch and change the shuffle series to whatever move you want.
It's a pretty easy-to-follow 32 count combination, since there are a lot of reps, and it's also a combination you can build on, so if your class is less advanced, you can use 4 punches instead of 2 with 2 round blocks.
If you have any other requests for modifications to simplify the combo or to progress it for a more advanced class, let me know.
