Kicking around the world!

This is an Aquatic pattern from (pattern 16176)

This is a combo I do to get their heart rates up. It can be done with any number of counts depending upon the ability of the group.

Both front kick and side kicks are performed in the same direction. Cue 1/4 turn right or left for the reverse kick. This combo then moves round either clockwise or anticlockwise to the start again.

I usually perform all moves with longer counts to the front before I add directional changes in.

*Side kick - as an alternative people can perform more front kicks if mobility is difficult

**Reverse kick - Hop from leg to leg with the heels coming towards the bottom. The arms push forward creating a wave at the same time with every hop.

To intensify the reverse kick the knee can be brought forwards before the heel pushes backwards and down. More power is needed in the hop.

Reverse kick frenze

After I have moved them clockwise and anti-clockwise, I concentrate on the reverse kick.

Either just creating massive waves in the water with the move, encouraging them to get the water onto pool side and cover my feet!


I take this to 4 counts and then 2 counts and then singles if then want to, ensuring that the whole body moves with them and the back is not compromised.

Remember to balance this move left and right so the body is balanced!
