Tie the Knot #2 from Jacque
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 16177)
Did this pattern this morning & it was a lot of fun. 32 counts, reverses, tapfree, horizontal board. A "lotta" turning!
Starts with "Tie the Knot" (see pattern # 16008 for explanation)
Part 1:
- Right lead: Tie the Knot (5)
- Left lead: Tie the Knot (5)
- Right lead: 6 count mambo at home position (or pivot on floor for second stomp) (6)
Part 2 changes the lead:
- Right lead: Step over the board and back-mambo (3)
- Left lead: 6 count mambo on N side facing the back wall (or pivot on floor for second stomp) (6)
- Left lead: Step over the board and back-mambo (3)
- Right lead: 1 kick (4)
Breakdown: (I now breakdown "Tie the Knot" differently than when I posted it in August! Always looking for a better way!)
Part 1:
- Layer 1:
- Double stomp right in center of board (5)
- Double stomp left in center of board (5)
- Single stomps (6)
- Filler to change the lead (3 repeater + 2 alternating kicks ... whatever) (16)
- Layer 2:
- Step wide right (as in beginning of a V), in center left, cross over with right and exit (5)
- Step wide left, in center right, cross over with left and exit (5)
- Single stomps (6)
- Filler to change the lead (16)
This is "Tie the Knot" facing front. They can stay with it OR do Layer 4 which starts by reversing into it on both sides of the board.
Part 2:
- Layer 1:
- 6 Count mambo (6)
- 6 Count mambo again (6)
- 1 Kick (4)
- Layer 2:
- First mambo on floor (3)
- 6 Count mambo using the board (6)
- Fourth mambo on floor (3)
- 1 Kick (4)
- Layer 3:
- Both "floor" mambos become: step (or leap) over the board and back mambo. When you do this, the 6 count mambo on the board is on the N side facing the back wall. Of course you can pivot on the floor for the second stomp if you want more turning.
Final -- put Parts 1 and 2 together.
Let me know if something doesn't make sense.
