Dancing Ls #1
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 16214)
The step is vertical, tapless, and self-reversing. Assume a right lead on each combo and repeat left lead.
Combo 1
- 2 Knee repeater walk back & around to other side (8)
- Slow up on top of bench left (1,2) right (3,4)
- Then two quick straddles down left right (5 &) up left right (6&) down left right (7&) up left right (8)
- Pendulum 5X start with the left out to the side, then swing right, left, right, left then immediately into repeater knees exit (12)
- Over the top (4)
Combo 2
- 2X A-step on the last A-step turn back for mambo cha cha then turn back to bench (12)
- Up on top 2 side lunges exit turn back (8)
- 1/2 Walkabout rock back (back mambo) (6) - Walk off end of bench come back to beginning and do a back mambo
- Elvis turn front (6)
Combo 3
- Turnstep straddle (4)
- Reverse turn straddle (4)
- Chasse over the top (4)
- Diagonal corner (4)
- 2 Jacks back (4)
- Jumprope repeater knee (8) - heels on top of bench then step knee on fifth heel
- Over the top (4)
I like to make this routine more challenging by changing things up. For example:
COMBO 1 you can do one knee one abduct for the 2 knee repeater then turn out and walk around for the walk back & around. Over the top can change to a reverse V-step, by exiting the repeater knee and turning to the back.
OR make it more challenging by adding intervals. For example:
COMBO 2 hold the lunges for 1 minute and change them to be squat lunges. COMBO 3 hold the jumping jacks for 1 minute and change to plyometric jacks.
