Aqua Shuttle Runs

This is an Aquatic pattern from (pattern 16694)

This is a quick cardio exercise that only takes a few minutes. I do this in a shallow water class, however it was great for deep too.

Line up your class with backs against the wall, along the width of the pool.

We use the lane lines on the pool floor as markers.

They run from the wall to lane line 2, and then back. (Line 1 is too close)

From there they repeat but going to line 3 instead, then back.

They do this until they have visited every line in turn, but always retuning to the wall before moving on to the next line.

The class will have covered a large distance jogging, but as its in mini-sections they don't realise it.

For the less active, I make them walk and use woggles or dumbells for their arms.

For the fitter classes, I challenge them against the clock or repeat it a few times back to back.

To vary this you can change the move: jax, ski, kick or even swim and as mentioned above throw in arm work simultaneously.
