Hi Everyone! Here is a neat game that I used in an early morning cardio camp class that I teach! Everyone really liked it. it's a great change of pace and really keeps your heart moving!
So the game is simple! I used a fuzzy die (I had two so multiple people could use them at a time). There are stations set up around the room (1-6). Whatever the participant rolls, that is the station they have to go to. Keep them moving fast and encourage them to be quick!
Station 1 - Jump Rope for 2 minutes
Station 2 - (you will need a step bench with two risers under each side) ~ Jack on the bench, step down and jack on the ground. Repeat this 25X
Station 3 (you will need 3 step blocks with two risers under each side) ~ set the blocks a good distance away from each other. The participants are going to run to each block, do a quick step up and down and run to the next block and repeat. Once they hit the last block they will run all the way back down to the start and repeat! Do this 30X
Station 4 - (you will need a body bar or a set of hand weights) ~ set the body bar on the shoulders and do walking lunges. Do these across the room 15X
Station 5 - (you will need a bench with two risers under each side and hand weights) ~ do 10 push ups, 10 crunches, 10 tricep dips and 10 chest flys all on the bench
Station 6 - (you will need a bench with two risers under each side) ~ I brought in a weighted hula hoop and also used that for this station. We did it for 2 min, but you can substitute anything in its place (jump rope, rocking horse, etc), Also did heel raises 20X, and repeater knees (each side 10X)
We did this circuit for about 30 - 35 minutes then cool downed and stretched and did abs!
Let me know what you think or if you have any questions! =)
