Tapless Intermediate Step III
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 16260)
How i cue it:
- V-rock (*or reverse rock down), push over
- Rock-reverse
- Up and straddle, Cross out and stomp
- Over the top
- Stomp straddle, box, chasse
Explanations and suggestion to build:
- V-step 2 times (1 - 8)
- Travel knees 2 times (1 - 8)
Change to:
- V-rock 1 time (1 - 7)
- Stomp 1 left (8)
- 1 2-knee repeater puts you back on beat
V-rock: Step up into your V right (1) left (2), rock back right (3) but don't exit, step up left (4) right (5), exit down left (6) right (7)
As noted in the cue section: option for V-rock is reverse rock down, like a reverse basic, but remember to rock down and go over.
Adding on:
- V-rock (1 - 3)
- Push over (the top so you land off the front of the step) left on top of step (4), right on top (5), left exits off front (6), right exits (7)
- Stomp 1 left (8) - now facing the back of the room
- 1 2-knee repeater and go over the top to face the front
Adding on:
- V-rock (1 - 3)
- Push over (4, 5)
- Rock left (6) off the front of the step
- Reverse
- After you rock left, go right into a full reverse basic stepping back up onto the step right (7), left (8), exit right (1) exit left (2). You will turn over your left shoulder, still exiting off of the front of the bench
- 2-Knee repeater, go over the top
Practice facing the front:
- Up and straddle, up and exit off of the front (1 - 8)
- Up and straddle, up and exit off of the back (1 - 8)
Change:
- Up and straddle (1 - 4)
- Cross out (5, 6, 7)
- Stomp the step (8)
- You are on the floor, straddling the step - cross your right foot in front of your left, like a box step around the small end of the step (5) step on your left, starting to face the step (6), step right, walking towards the far corner of the step (7), stomp the corner left on (8)
- 2-Knee Repeat
You can opt not to teach this facing the front and just teach it by adding it on to the routine. (This will all be facing the back of the room & you will eliminate the 2-knee repeat.)
Put together and add on:
- V-rock (1-3)
- Push over (4, 5)
- Rock (6) Reverse (7 - 2)
- Up and straddle (3 - 6)
- Cross out - right foot crosses (7) and walk towards step (8, 1)
- Stomp the step (2)
- Over the top (5-8)
- 3-Knee repeat (1-8)
You can keep the 3-knee repeat as your ending or you can change to:
- Stomp (1) straddle (2, 3)
- Box: left on step (4), right crosses in front on floor (5), left foot on floor - turning towards step (6)
- Chasse to corner of step right (7) left (&) right (8) to begin again
Complete combo with counts:
- V-rock [or reverse rock down] (1-3)
- Push over (4, 5)
- Rock (6) reverse (7 - 2)
- Up and straddle (3 - 6)
- Cross out - right foot crosses (7) and walk towards step (8, 1)
- Stomp the step (2)
- Over the top (5-8)
- Stomp (1) straddle (2, 3)
- Box (4 - 6)
- Chasse (7&8)
