Hi, I recently started teaching Step and this site really helped me out. I hope I can return the favour by helping others. This routine was a great success with my participants.
I would do a regular break down and repeat the whole thing about 4 to 5 times to get them warmed up and then proceed to the stretches
*Snake- Ham curl at the edge of the step and turn as you curl, you should end up vertically to the step and you MUST STRADDLE DOWN. Repeat on the other side.
**Up jack/down jack- You do a jumping jack on top of the step and one to the floor. I usually say "Jack it up". Option: they can do jumping jack on the floor.
This routine is really fun and easy to follow. I find that the combos flow well together. Should you need any further explanation or help please do ot hesitate to contact me.
