I teach a lot of different types of classes during the week. My favorite class, though, is called Cardio Sculpt. I can do just about anything. On holidays, we do Master Classes at our Y where several instructors take on part of the class, and the students get a taste of different types of classes. I decided to do my own master class for one of my cardio sculpt hours.
Here is the format:
Warm up/hi-lo 15 minutes. You can do a variety of grapevines, step touches, jogging, marching, jacks, kicks, knee lifts, etc. It is up to you.
Sculpting 15 minutes.
Lower body & biceps: squats/bicep curls
Back: dead lifts/ rows / reverse flyes
Chest: push ups with bands, flyes with bands, chest presses on the bench
Lower body & shoulders: lunges/shoulder raises to side and front and overhead presses
Triceps: dips on bench
Step 15 minutes.
Insert any favorite combos here depending on the stepping level of your participants
Pilates 10 minutes.
Hundred
Roll ups
Roll like a ball
Teaser (single and double leg)
Switch to hands and knees for opposite arm/leg lifts
On belly for Superman and swimming
Stretch 5 minutes
