Simple step again
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 16375)
Inspired by Koddetrien - thanks! Similar to my previous routine, but some small changes. Works better now. All the blocks are self-reversing now.
3 blocks for my basic 50/50 class. The first block is also the warm up.
1.
- 4 Knee lifts - the first one on step, the next three on the floor. Alternating right/left/right/left (8)
- Kick back (straight leg) corner to corner (8)
- V-step x 4 on right. (16) Tap on left on count 16, so that you change leads.
Repeat on left
2.
- Step touch on step (face west wall) (12)
- Over the step (4)
- Walk and pony back to starting point (walk on 4 counts and pony on 4 counts) (8)
- Mambo right/left (right foot on step on count 1, left foot on count 4) (6)
- Jump jack (2)
Repeat on left
* When you've taught the first 2 blocks, you can add a 3-5 minute long high-pulse block with lots of kicks, jacks if you want high impact, knee repeaters, charlestons etc. That way they get their heart rate up, before you go on to run through blocks 1+2 and then teach block 3, which is quite easy:*
3.
- Leg curls/ham curls alternating legs, x4 (16)
- Kick and box, corner to corner (8)
- Triple knee repeater, charleston or similar (8)
Repeat on left
Just email me for any questions.
Have fun :)
