Energetic Warmup for any Movement class

Activity class warmup
Repeat series 2x
- While stepping (left) lead rotate wrists in a circle for 2 count. Repeat left lead for 2x entire total.
- While stepping (left) lead rotate elbows in a circle for 2 count. Repeat left lead for 2x entire total.
- While stepping back shrug shoulders in a circle for 4 count. Repeat going forward lead for 4x.
- While standing in place (left) lead rotate arms up and back- down and forward for 4 count. Repeat double time for 4 count..
- While standing in place (left) lead rotate waist, by moving arms side to side in a sequence for 2 count. Repeat left lead for 2x entire total.
- While standing in place (left) lead rotate hips, by moving waist side to side like a belly dancer in a sequence for 2 count. Repeat left lead for 2x entire total.
- While standing in place (left) lead rotate knees, by moving knees side to side "Tai Chiish" in a sequence for 2 count. Repeat left lead for 2x entire total.
- Step (left) foot out rotate ankle for 4 count. Repeat left lead for 2x entire total.
- Step (left) foot out rotate hip, moving knee in circle, and kick 2x repeat
- Step (left) foot out, step back, Repeat left lead and kick 2x repeat
- Now take a deep breath raise arms over head fingers interlocked stretch to your right Side, repeat left.
- While standing in place (left) lead rotate arms up and back- down and forward for 4 count. Repeat double time for 4 count..
- While standing in place (left) lead rotate waist, by moving arms side to side in a sequence for 2 count. Repeat left lead for 2x entire total.
- While standing in place (left) lead rotate hips, by moving waist side to side like a belly dancer in a sequence for 2 count. Repeat left lead for 2x entire total.
- While standing in place (left) lead rotate knees, by moving knees side to side "Tai Chiish" in a sequence for 2 count. Repeat left lead for 2x entire total.
- Step (left) foot out rotate ankle for 4 count. Repeat left lead for 2x entire total.
- Step (left) foot out rotate hip, moving knee in circle, and kick 2x repeat
- Step (left) foot out, step back, Repeat left lead and kick 2x repeat
- Now take a bigger-biggest breathe bring hands over head YOGA styzles and feel the energy!
I love this site! You helped me become an awesome teacher. Just giving back. This pattern is great for active yoga, kick boxing, and step. People always say I need a good warmup here you go!
