Christy's Cycle Mix #1 (59:12)
This is a
Cycling pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 16471)
As always, I use a RPE of 1-10. 1 is no resistance and 10 is uphill sludge, difficult to make a complete circle.
- 1. Start Me Up by Rolling Stones (3:32) - warm up
- 2. What I Like About You by the Romantics (2:55) - rolling hills. Start with resistance at level 6. During chorus, take the resistance up to level 8, out of the saddle at a little quicker pace.
- 3. Burning Up by Ashlee Simpson (3:54) - lifts out of the saddle at a level 7 or 8.
- 4. It's Not Over by Daughtry (3:35) - breathless. Climb for two minutes at level 8. For third and final minute, increase your resistance and increase your speed to get totally breathless. After first minute, give the advanced riders an option to increase their resistance, hover, or both.
- 5. You Spin Me Round by Jessica Simpson (3:50) - hover at level 8. During chorus, do lifts out of the saddle.
- 6. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap by AC/DC (3:56) - rolling hills.
- 7. Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood (3:19) - hill climb. Take it from level 6 to level 9 or 10 depending on your class.
- 8. Run by Frenzel Rhomb (2:51) - sprints. When you hear "Run!", sprint as fast as you can. If you bounce in your saddle, you do not have enough resistance.
- 9. I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor (3:16) - seated climb. From level 7 to 9 or 10. No matter how difficult it gets, you will not stand up.
- 10. Makes Me Wonder by Maroon 5 (3:31) - low hover.
- 11. Temperature by Sean Paul (3:36) - lifts out of the saddle
- 12. Never Again by Kelly Clarkson (3:37) - rolling hills.
- 13. Monster Side by Addict (4:11) - steep uphill climb. Spend the majority of this song at levels 8, 9 and 10.
- 14. Pretty Vegas by INXS (3:26) - breathless.
- 15. How to Save a Life by the Fray (4:23) - cool down and stretching
- 16. Mummer's March (5:20) - cool down and stretching
One of the guys in my class told me that this is one of the funnest rides!
