ABC's of Step

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 16499)

This pattern is very easy and great for a beginner instructor or beginning step class. It's based on all Alphabet Letter Steps and should be fun for your class. It's my first submission to TurnStep. I've gotten lots of great ideas from this site and decided to finally post one of my own!

(Reverse left)

(Tap - reverse left)

(Tap - reverse left)

(turn to face right)

(Reverse right)

Tap right to repeat from beginning

Hop turn (4 counts) - step left (count 1), hop left (count 2), step down (home) with right foot (count 3), step down (home) with left foot (count 4).

Start teaching all the steps during warm-up and do several of each and then break it down. Example: In the first combo 8 basics, 8 V-steps, 8 I-steps become 4 of each, and then 2 of each. In the second combo, 4 split basics, 4 Y-steps and 4 L-steps become 2 and then one of each. In the last combo you might teach 3 Over The Tops, 3 K-steps, 4 A-Steps and 3 X-Steps, breaking it down to 2 of each and then the final pattern.
