Shout Ride
This is a
Cycling pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 16673)
Great 45 minute class. With a bit of class participation at the end. I'm a new instructor so any feedback would be great.
- Warm up - Hot Hot Hot (Buster Poindexter)
- Fast flat with 10 seconds bursts - Footloose (Kenny Loggins)
- Out of saddle with run at chorus - Kryptonite (3 doors down)
- Seated hill - Hillbilly Deluxe (Brooks and Dunn)
- Out of saddle hill - You Give Love a Bad Name (Bon Jovi)
- Recovery - Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go (Wham) I usually give a little over 1 minute of recovery then go into "rolling hills" (small tension climb then release tension and speed down the hill, bit more tension that the first hill, release tension speed down the hill and one more big hill, release tension and speed down the hill). *When releasing tension it is NOT all tension, I have to remind my class to make sure they are doing the work.
- Out of saddle climb - Brown Eyed Girl (Van Morrison)
- Jumps (30 seconds out of saddle/30 seconds in saddle)- How Far We've Come (Matchbox Twenty)
- Seated hill - Layla (Eric Clapton)
- Fast flat with burst, seated hill, bursts - Shout (The Isley Brothers) I follow the music, when its quick I have the class at Fast flat with bursts. Once the music slows down I add a bit of tension, then its back to fast flat with bursts. This is when I ask for a little class participation, I have then sing, reply back to me during the "hey" part. FUN!!
- Cool down - Bubbly (Colbie Caillat)
- Cool down/Stretch - Sittin on the Dock of the Bay (Otis Redding)
- Stretch - Come Away with Me (Norah Jones)
- Stretch - Wonderful Tonight (Eric Clapton)
