Killer Ride
This is a
Cycling pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 16631)
My classes love this workout. You can vary up the time(s) spent on each exercise/segement. Let me know your thoughts. Enjoy. Suggested music is listed also.
- Warm up (Undercover by Rolling Stones)
- 3 One minute sprints/30 second break in between (Dude Looks Like a Lady...by Aerosmith)
- 10 Rolling hills; fast pace; 3 loads on each hill--start at 75% resistance-then 85%-- then 95% resistance and decend & repeat for 10 (American Girl by Tom Petty, Eyes Without a Face by Billy Idol, One Thing by The Fixx?)
- 1-2 minute recoup (judge by ability of class)
- 3 One minute sprints/30 second break in between (Let's Go Crazy by Prince)
- Seated climb into standing climb--start hill at 80% and allow 4 loads of resistance. I let the participants choose how much they add on with each load. Goal is that by the fourth load, they have reached 100% of their max; spend no less than 1 minute (no more than 2 minutes at max level). (Love is a Stranger by Eurythmics)
- 3 Sets of jumps (1 minute on each set/30 second in between for recoup); Set 1: fast paced at med resistance; Set 2: med pace at med- hard resistance; Set 3: slower pace at very hard resistance. (Call Me by Blondi and Refugee by Tom Petty).
If done right, you will feel for days!
