This is a
Hi/Lo pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 16636)
Any of the following can be beginner to intermediate/advance, simply change the speed, direction, low impact to high with hops or a bounce and there you go.
Warm up [Always assume right leg leg lead]
- 4 Hamstring curls [8]
- 2 Mambo [8]
- 1 Walk up and back [8]
- 4 Knee repeater [8]
To go up a level:
- Circle the hamstring curls [8]
- 1 Mambo 1 pivot [8]
- Walk or run up knee hop on fourth beat
- Walk or run back knee hop on fourth or run up and back [8]
- Step kick repeat 3 [8]
#1 Combo 3 lead changes here,
- 1 Grapevine 3 hamstring curls [8]
- 1 Repeater knee [8]
- 1 V-step, step double hamstring curl [8]
- 4 Step touch [8]
To go up a level:
- 1 Grapevine 3 hamstring curls in a circle or 1/2 L to face right wall and back [8]
- 1 Repeater knee or behind front behind repeater [8]
- 1 Running V-step double hamstring curl [8]
- 4 Pony or spinning pony [8]
Combo #2
- 1 Grapevine right tap [4]
- 3 V-steps [12]
- 2 Heel lifts [4]
- 2 Taps right and left [4] do the last 2-4 counts to make your 32 count
To go up a level:
- Chase rock back 1 pivot [8]
- 2 V-steps turning in full circle or 1 forward 1 back like an X [8]
- 2 Pop forwards [4]
- 2 Jacks [4] Do 2 pops 2 jacks twice for your 34 counts
Combo #3
- 1 Walk up to 3 single knees [8]
- 4 Hamstring curls moving back [8]
- 2 Double knees 1 right 1 left [8]
- 4 Step touch [8]
To go up a level
- Run up and 3 knee skips turning to face the back of the room [8]
- 4 Hamstring curl hops to the back of the room [8]
- 2 Double knees up and over 1 right 1 left turn to face front wall [8]
- 4 Ponys spinning in a circle [8]
I really teach a variety of levels and this type of combination allows you to take the class as far as they can go and when they get the routine pick up the pitch and you can really get alot of mileage from simple stuff
