32 Count Kickin' Grapevine Combo
This is a
BoxAerobics pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 16640)
- Start by grapevining to the right (1, 2, 3)
- Left knee lift (4)
- Right side kick (6)
- Left knee lift (8)
- Go immediately into a grapevine left (1,2,3)
- Right knee lift (4)
- Left side kick (6)
- Right knee lift (8)
Do each side 4 times, to get the class used to the flow. After a few sets, offer the higher-impact option of making the knee lifts front kicks.
Adding on:
- Do the 8-count grapevine to the right, knees, kicks, then add:
- Right hook, left cross, right hook, left knee lift.
- Then grapevine left with knee, kick, knee, then add
- Left hook, right cross, left hook, right knee
Putting it together, 32 counts:
- Grapevine right (1, 2, 3)
- Left knee lift (4) (or left front kick)
- Right side kick (6)
- Left knee lift (8) (or left front kick)
- Right hook (2)
- Left cross (4)
- Right hook (6)
- Left knee lift (8)
- Grapevine left (1,2,3)
- Right knee lift (4) (or right front kick)
- Left side kick (6)
- Right knee lift (8) (or right front kick)
- Left hook (2)
- Right cross (4)
- Left hook (6)
- Right knee lift (8)
Repeat 4 times on each side. It may take some of the less coordinated students a while to pick up on it, but they all eventually get it. It's fun! And the kicks are a killer after a while! Enjoy!
