Hi everyone, we did this routine last night and my class had a ball. Lots of laughs, and isn't that what it's all about! Hope you enjoy.
First we hit the gym (basketball court) where the did:
- Inchworms down and back
- Then they partnered up (because we only have 12 scooters) and one partner did fast feet while the other person used their left leg only going on the scooter down the floor and their right leg back, switch partners and repeat, one partner still doing fast feet other partner using both heels to push themselves down the floor and back, swithch partners and repeat, and finally they used alternating feet crossing the gym floor 4 times, switch partners and repeat. Since some people got back quicker while they were doing fast feet waiting for everyone I would call "drops" to really get their cardio going.
Next they did the following:
- Sprint the full court and back
- Shuffle left up the court shuffle right back
- Kaeroke down and back
- Power knees down the court back pedal coming back
Back upstairs for the following:
- Up up down down jack jack off the bench 1 minute
- Step up and down on steps holding dumbbells
- Step ups with overhead press
- Step ups with bicep curls
- 1 Minute jump rope
- 1 Minute mountain climbers
- 1 Minute push ups
- 1 Minute mountain climbers
- 100 Squats 50 regular 50 doubletime
- 1 Minute 8-count body builder
- Sunshine shoulder rotations 3 sets of 10
There was about 10 minutes to class left so I had everyone put there stuff away except mats and for the final 8 minutes or so we played Simon Says, you know the game we all played as kids, use jumping jacks, ali jacks burpees, jump and switches whatever, if someone gets out they have to go the sidelines and still do the drills but they can take a break. After the 8 minutes I had 6 people left standing so I bought them a drink of their choice from the cooler.
Have a blast!!!!!!
