Teaching Progression:
Part 1 Base: 3-knee repeater + 2 basics (This could be skipped and use layer one as the base, but I like to start with total no-brainers!)
- 1. 5-knee repeater + 1 basic
- 2. 3-knee-double-stomp repeater + 1 basic
- 3. 3-knee repeater + back-mambo + single stomp + 1 basic
- 4. Change the repeater to "knee-twist-knee". Keep the rest the same.
- 5. Change the knees to a kick & a curl. Keep the rest the same.
- 6. Demo the heel-flick, slight pivot on the curl + cross over & exit. This replaces the back-mambo. Do the single stomp with the class.
- 7. Demo walking over the board and rock-down on N side with right foot + walk over the board to home and exit. This replaces the single stomp and basic.
- 8. Demo the option of reversing up and rocking-down at home position with a reverse-basic to finish.
Part 2 Base: Single-stomp + double-stomp + single-stomp + double-stomp
- 1. Demo stomping over on the single-stomps.
- 2. Demo a tango on top of the board on the double-stomps.
- 3. Demo the option of doing the tango on the floor instead of the board.
