Let's Dance 3/08
This is a
Hi/Lo pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 16809)
I have been woefully neglectful of contributing to this site the past year plus. Have turned my low impact class into more of a dance class and we have been having a blast with it - the students like it so much it's hard to get them, or me to stop. So here is one of the routines.
Warm Up:
- Mambo right x4, L x 4 alternating arms - singles, hair wash, sweep your body etc.
- Grapevine right & left x 8
- V-steps right x 4, L x 4 alternate arms - reach, punch, stir the pot etc.
Break down:
- Mambo right x 3, vary arms, grapevine right x 1
- V-step left x 4, vary arms and can do 360* turning to L
Repeat with left lead
- Double shuffle feet move forward right, left, right, left
- Walk back 8 count right lead with shoulder rolls
- Tap on left and repeat with left lead
- Mambo cross right, left, right, left (pivot * stay facing to the left) reverse
- Walk to right side, fling right hand (like it's wet) and right hip on 4 turn and walk to left same attitude
- Do 3 x - right lead, left lead, right lead then
- Step touch with hip right, right, left and reverse
- Double dig forward right & left
- Step touch move back right, left, right, left
- Mambo right ft forward (dancing with the stars arms - like holding a partner) and right foot back (push partner away) x 2
- Reverse
I stuck with this choreography for a month with my class with fun new music and they loved it. Hope it works for you too.
