Intensity Options
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 16901)
Step is horizontal - all combos are self-reversing
I use very simple patterns for intensity variations - The object of this is so that new people and those that prefer low intensity can work on the low intensity option and the other more advanced and fit members can enjoy the other variations.
Combo 1a (low intensity)
- 3x Basics (right lead) moving left (12)
- 2x Side taps (on the floor) left (4)
- 3x Basics (left lead) moving right (12)
- 2x Side taps (on the floor) right (4)
Combo 1b (high intensity)
- Run the basics and replace the 2 taps with 2 jacks
- Combo 1 count (high intensity - fun!)
- Run the basics and 360 turn on the jacks
Combo 2a (low intensity)
- 2 Step knee travelling (8)
- 2 Step knee center (8)
- 4 Repeater knee lift with a lunge down* (16)
Combo 2b (high intensity)
- Change the knee lifts to leap knees
Combo 3a (low intensity)
- 1 Repeater to the right corner of the bench (8)
- 2 Basics (left lead) (8)
- 4 V-step (16)
Combo 3b (high intensity)
- Run the basics, walk/run the first 2 V-steps and Jump-V the last 2 V-steps
Combo 4
- Shuffle left-step (shuffle on the bench count 5-6)
- 2 Turnstep
- 1/2 L-step, 2 across the top, 1/2 l-Step home
Combo 5 - all low intensity to cool down..
- 2 Turnstep
- 1 Mambo
- 1 Over the top
- 1 Diagonal
- 2 Chugs
- 1 Over the top
- Walk/run around the short end
* No lunge down on last one to transition safely back to travelling knees
